How to cancel HubSpot before it auto-renews

Checked against HubSpot’s published terms on October 28, 2026. See the sources.

HubSpot subscriptions renew on their own. Stopping the renewal is a setting in your account, and HubSpot's published terms say it has to be off before your current term ends. They give no fixed number of days of notice, so check your order form for anything stricter.

How
Turn off auto-renewal in your HubSpot account: click your account name in the top right corner, then Account & Billing, open the Subscriptions tab, and click Cancel auto-renewal in the Auto-Renewal Terms section. Super Admins and users with billing admin permissions can do it. (source) (source) (source)
By when
Before the end of your current term. HubSpot’s published terms set no number of days; the setting has to be off before the term ends. Your order form can say otherwise. (source)
Downgrading instead
A downgrade needs at least five business days before your renewal date, according to HubSpot’s help page. (source)
When it ends
On the renewal date, not at once. HubSpot does not allow cancelling mid-contract. (source) (source)
If you miss it
The subscription renews for the shorter of your prior term or one year. (source)
Price at renewal
HubSpot can raise the fee at renewal up to its then-current list price, and says it will tell you at least 30 days before. Section 3.2 adds that Revenue Hub and some other products follow HubSpot’s Product Specific Terms, which have different fee adjustment notice requirements. (source)

Work out your last day to cancel

Check your order form

The public terms are the default. Your order form, or a contract you signed, can override them, and it decides your deadline. Look for:
